Biography:
Funkadeeda was composed by Maxim Schram, member and producer of Artefact; a crossover act from the Netherlands, who recently signed to Play It Again Sam Records. Maxim performs live with the band as a gear-jay and percussionist, together with female vocalist Shamangi, drummer Paul van Gerven, (upright)-bass player Thijs Willemsen, an mc and guest musicians on trumpet and turntables. Maxim started producing electronic music almost 10 years ago, after playing the bass-guitar in numerous bands as a teenager. In the beginning the music was purely electronic but later evolved into an organic mix between electronic and live instruments. Maxim likes to explore new borders and merge different styles of music.
This ringtone was based on the first track of Artefact's new album "Addicted to Your Goodies" and is called "Funkadeeda". The song is about someone who is on the edge of going crazy, seeing all kinds of things that are not really there. Singing a catchy melody with the words "Funkadeeda" prevents that someone from falling deeper into a hole and helps her to get back to reality.
