Oxide 9 are three musicians and MC Miss L, together creating a mix of energetic live drummed beats with deep basses and smooth vocals with raw synths & electronica. The main concept is live drum'n'bass, with many influences from hiphop and breakbeats.
Since the foundation in january 2004 Oxide 9 played in many different clubs in Holland, at DnB-parties and festivals. In february 2005 the released their 'smallbum' with five tracks (own production), which was well received by the media. Airplay followed on 3FM, KinkFM and some local stations.
Oxide 9 is connected to the online platform No-Dex (www.no-dex.nl, english), which promotes live DnB bands and frequently organizes No-Dex parties @ the Melkweg and Nighttown.
May 2005 the band gets selected B-stage, the coachingproject by 'Brabant Pop', and the 'Popronde'.
