Hammond organist Carlo de Wijs is putting a whole new twist on things. After cutting four discs that laid down the best of a broad musical spectrum, the emphasis is now on the master's B3 itself. Jazz, funk, gospel and a pinch of african rhythm are all part of the recipe.
For Carlo de Wijs, music doesn't have much in the way of borders. He sat in on the world tour of Candy Dulfer's Funky Stuff, raised the roof at Ronnie Scott's London Jazzclub, and has backed up many of the biggest names in the business. In the last few years, this "world musician" has explored any number of musical concepts, with combos including his own beloved D'WYS.
