Born in 1948, this improv musician started his career studying violin under Erwin Schiffer at the Tilburg conservatory. But he also attended the Institute for Sonology studying electronic music. Together with Ernst Reijseger and Ernst Glerum he performs as the Amsterdam String Trio; plays in the Guus Janssen Septet, Misha Mengelberg's I.C.P.-orchestra and his own ensemble Orkest Amsterdam Drama. Since 1977 he has also been active as a composer, writing scores for theatre, film and televsion productions but also for renomated artists as Yo Yo Ma.
