The music of Jeff Myers is dramatic, colorful and often surprising. He
has written orchestral, chamber, and electronic music, music for
Disklavier. His debut art piece, Buzz, is uncharacteristic sound
installation which combines his penchant for absurdity and his love for
acoustically pure sonorities. He has been awarded and commissioned from
organizations such as the Fromm Foundation, the American Academy of
Arts and Letters, BMI, ASCAP, the Yvar Mikashoff Trust for New Music,
First Music, Tanglewood Music Center and the Atlantic Center for the
Arts. Jeff has studied with some of the finest composers, including
William Bolcom, Martin Bresnick, Michael Daugherty, Betsy Jolas, and
Bright Sheng.
