Roomtone (aka Jeroen Kimman) started playing guitar in 1985 and since has been part of numerous bands, crossing styles such as pop, heavy-metal, jazz, hip-hop, mariachi, electronic music and modern classical. He has studied at the conservatory of Arnhem and collaborated a.o. with Pieter Bast, Michael Vatcher, Eric Vloeimans, Wiek Hijmans, Rosa Ensemble, ZT Hollandia, Aardvarck and Harco Pront
Today, his main focus is on composing and recording (backed up by Sandor Caron as producer). Hallmarks of his music are a unique style-uniting originality, annoyingly whistlable melodies, and ass-kicking rhythmic complexity. He is composing music for dance/theater pieces, and is involved in several other projects. Most recently he released a cd on the Trytone label this year.
