David Corel, a 29 year-old musician from Amsterdam, is probably best known as one of the members of the band Alamo Race Track, in which he plays bass guitar and synth. With the release of their first album ‘Birds at home’ (Excelsior Recordings, 2003) they won an Essent award, after which they played festivals such as Lowlands and Noorderslag, Musicworks (Glasgow, Scotland), In The City (Manchester, UK) and South By Southwest (Austin, Texas). Alamo Race Track is currently working on their second album, partly in the studio, partly at David’s home studio. Other bands David Corel played with over the last couple of years are Johan (album: Pergola) and Daryll-Ann (album: Trailer Tales).
